Abdullah Abdul Ghani Educational Center launched the Third Cultural Season "shine"

 

Abdullah Abdul Ghani Educational Center organized activities of the Third Cultural Season «Shine» on Tuesday, 20 April 2010, after the success of the cultural season "renewal" which was organized by the Centre in 2008 . The activities of the opening ceremony for the season"shine" has launched in the red hall of Regency halls , and it began with the recitation of verses  from the Holy Quran recited by Sheikh Ahmed Hussain /  the Imam of Bukhari mosque.

 

Model of the generous human

Dr. Aysha Al Mannai, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and sponsor has opened the concert events by a speech stating: "It is my pleasure and honor for me to be a sponsor for the season " shine "which shows brilliance in all of its domains .” , and she praised the events hosted by the season and the role that is represented today by Abdullah Abdul Ghani Educational Centre in community service, and she praised Sheikh Abdullah Abdul Ghani, she said: "We can not forget this position when we wanted to convene a conference of the Faculty of Sharia and host scientists at a time when no interest has been directed to us , but what we have found, however, that he has ordered embracing and bear the full costs . This attitude shows that Qatar has embraced a model of generous man and his sons who walks on his path.” and she thanked those who are responsible and  praised them beautifully .

Ms. Buthaina as general manager of the center provided at the end of the season opening a shield to Dr Aisha Mannai /  the sponsor of the ceremony, and the distinguished guests: Dr. Ruqia Alwani , Dr. Ahmed Alfaragabi and Ms. Moza al-Jabri.

 

The elements of the renaissance of the nation

And then Mrs. Buthaina Abdullah Abdul Ghani began a speech to welcome the guests of the cultural season, led by Dr. Aysha Al Mannai, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies, sponsor of the event, and Dr. Ruqia Taha al-Alwani from the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Dr. Ahmed Alfaragabi from Qatar, and Ms. Moza Sultan Al Jabri from the United Arab Emirates . She expressed her happiness for opening the activities of the Third Cultural Season under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies and under the slogan «shine», and she mentioned the proverb of Muhammad Iqbal: « The Muslim world will not promote , but with the heart of East and the thought of West », pointing out that the theme of rebirth of the nation and the associated elements which contributes to it and the role of the Muslim world which has to work on those ingredients, and our role we factored in that renaissance, always worth us to focus on what was confirmed by Sharia, as  Almighty God’s saying (And I did not create the Jinn and the Mankind except to worship me), and his saying (I will create a Khalifa in the earth) , the activation of the role of succession requires diligence in order to strengthen the role of Islamic humanitarian entities and  its developmental objectives that transcends humanity generally in educational, social, economic , political and relatively  aspects .

 

The care of Islamic work

Buthaina Al Ghani noted that Abdullah Abdul Ghani Center has not ignored for this role, but they always sought to provide the appropriate atmosphere that fit with the renaissance of the community and the development of his energies and take advantage of all that is available, emphasizing the role of the center in communication with the public inside and outside the state Qatar, the care of the Islamic work around the globe. Adding that the third season under the banner of cultural (shine) came after a (renewal) season to confirm the specific path that characterizes the activities of Abdullah Abdul Ghani Center, where there are creativity and innovation, and to seek to meet the needs of the community and its requirements.

 

Monotheism is the basis of faith

The opening speech was followed by a featured seminar which its chapters was directed by Dr. Wadha Suwaidi, with the participation of Dr. Ruqia Alwani from the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Dr. Ahmed Alfaragabi from Daawa management of the Qatar Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and Ms. Buthaina Abdullah Abdul Ghani , the director of Abdullah Abdul Ghani Educatuinal Center, and Ms. Moza Al Jabri from the United Arab Emirates .

Alwani in her paper has emphasized the importance of monotheism in the life of a Muslim because it represents a complete subordination of man in all the moves and rests to God alone, in order to build on this foundation all his relations and his roles in life. She noted that the Almighty God create human beings are equal, he says: “ O you people, O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware (13).  (Al Hujaarat) , it is a unit based on the variation and differentiation, not symmetry and congruence. And within the same community , the lecturer has indicated that the Women's role in carrying construction, change and social reform are equally like by men, according to God’s commissioning of man in his succession on the face of earth .

 

Specific and complementary roles

Alwani pointed out that the laws of God and his laws in nature and human society created specific roles for both men and women integrated with each other, warning that the confiscation of the Sunan and laws will lead to chaos and disorder.

She stressed that it does not exist in the Koran the idea of ​​conflict between men and women, arguing that the differentiation between the nature and roles of women and men has no injustice to women, and not all discrimination is unjust, and that equality may be the biggest injustice that can be located on the Women’s shoulder .

She concluded in her speech that women’s participation in succession and the reconstruction of the land and the building of society, is as important as the duty to worship God Almighty, it is the core of worship.

 

The role of women in the Renaissance

In the second paper on the title «the role of women in the Renaissance» Dr. Ahmed Alfaragabi stressed that women's claims to uphold the rights imposed by the Qur’an , and so they will provide a unique model for the world for the good Muslim woman. And Alfaragabi showed models for Muslim women and their contributions in the men and community building, and he said that Qatari women are able to represent these values ​​and work to the fullest.

He stressed the importance of building a Muslim house that will not enjoy happiness except in the light of the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, and the enemies have realized the seriousness of the role of women in light of their adherence to their religion, so they are working on detaching her from her identity and culture. He stressed at the conclusion of his speech that Muslim women are able to lead the nation to glory if they have done their part in the construction and cultural change.

 

Women's Daawah’s challenges

 Ms. Buthaina Abdullah Abdul Ghani stressed in her speech titled «The role of women aimed in the light of the changes» that women are tender source that Eve participated Adam on building earth, which is one of the obligatory rights and duties which created for her as a worship and succession from God.

She spoke in her paper about  the look of the Gulf community for women and the challenges of women's Da’awa in the Gulf (through the presentation of the results of a referendum), and Da’awah of women in Qatar between reality and ambition, and in the last she provided futuristic visions and proposals.

She said that Gulf women through phases suffered the marginalization and stunned consumption , and now it is the phase of the restoration of consciousness, and pointed out that the society's perception of women remained trapped through man narrow perception’s for woman and dedicating that perception through some of the  Jurisprudential opinions which is scientifically uncertain . and the negative traditions ant the negativity of the women towards it . 

 

The Project “ To paradise “

In the fourth paper, Ms. Moza al-Jabri from the UAE reviewd the project “ to paradise” based on the verse, " And those who persisted in fear of Allah will (also) be conducted to Paradise in groups " Az-zumar 73, and she said that the goal of this project is to create a Quranic generation go to heaven in Grace of God, by instilling patriotism in the hearts of young children, and cultural communication with the world, and build a media project attracts emerging talent, and the fight against destructive ideas, corruption and terrorism, and enable children to evoke the image of paradise to motivate them to work to gain it .

 

Childhood’s Scent contest

On the morning of the second day of the season , 13 kindergarten competed in the love with Mustafa upon him blessings and peace, and the love of Islam and the Arabic language and the family and the mother and the homeland and nature through songs and theatrical scences and performances along with breathing , in the exhibition of works by children through « childhood’s scent » contest, which allocated $ 3000 Ryal for winner team , and a prize of QR 2000 to the winning team in the exhibition.

After the presentations , The arbitral tribunal headed by Ms. Badria Al-yaqout from Qatar Charity declared the winner in the display  and it was ( Al Salam kindergarten ). As for the winner in the exhibition of the works of children , the Early Childhood kindergarten in the University of Qatar obtained the prize .

 

Awards and shields to the winners

 The general manager of the center Ms. Bouthaina Abdul Ghani provided awards and shields to the winners, and for all Kindergartens which participated , namely: Alkhouloud Kindergarten for languages, Al-Sama Private kindergarten , Al- Nour kindergarten for Special Languages ,  Al-Salhen Private kindergarten ,  Al-Bustan Private kindergarten , Muaither modern independent Kindergarten ,  Mozah bint Mohammed independent Kindergarten , Al- Zahraa Private kindergarten ,  happy Childhood Private kindergarten, and English Cambridge Kindergarten for Girls, and Abdullah Abdul Ghani Educational kindergarten .

 

Shaykh al-Islam «Ibn Taymiyyah»

On the evening of the same day the public of the third cultural season was on a date with a discussion to find a winner in the contest of scientific research that have already been announced some time ago, and was attended by 11 researchers in about «educational readings at the thought of Sheikh Ibn Taymiyyah», which the center provided for it $ 20 thousand riyals and the reseacher winner was Mustafa Mohamed Al-Amine , the jury was formed from all of the doctors: Aisha Al-Mannaai , Wadha Al-Swaidee , Mahmoud Ghazi, and Sheikh Abdul Salam Al-Bassiouni.

The researcher Mustafa Mohamed Al-Amin ,the winner researcher, offered an overview about his research, included an introduction which focused on the importance of the research’s topic and the goal, then the introductory section in the translation of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah God bless his soul, and the first topic in Islamic education sense, its goals and its assets, and the second section in the fields of education and methods, and receive literature for Ibn Taymiyyah, leading to the conclusion that contained the most important results of the study.

 

Competition in a timely manner

For his part, Sheikh Abdul Salam Bassiouni said the search is well and rises to the level of university researches , pointing out to some of the gaps of some of the language and spelling errors that he wished the researcher remedied and corrected.
Dr. Mahmoud Ghazi considered that the competition came in a timely manner, to the need of the nation to support it in light of the major challenges faced by the intellectual
, civilized , cultural and media levels, and he said that a number of research participated in the competition did not rise to the level of research and it was a summary of books on the subject, but he confirmed the presence of the participation of research which was in a good level but they were not based on reliable sources, and were limited to Internet sites, stressing that the winner search meets the elements of a sound scientific research.

Dr. Duha Swede said that all participants in the contest are winners to just their participation, and praised the role of Abdullah Abdul Ghani Center in encouraging scientific research and motivate young people to participate.

 

Capital of Arab Culture

 Abdullah Abdul Ghani center also sponsored in the third cultural season a debate for the center of Qatar debates, where two teams compete in discussing the issue of selecting Doha as the capital of Arab culture for the year 2010, where the team pro defended the eligibility of the Doha in this selection, organization, title, while the opposing team stressed that the events spread over the full year is not good and does not serve the Arab culture, and they has extended all their opinions and ideas with courage and freedom in an attempt to convince the jury and the public, to announce in the end, the pro team as the winner over the opposing team.

The head of the jury said that both sides do everything  to deliver all his arguments and ideas, and work to refute and rebut the arguments of the opposing team, noting the commitment of the teams to the strategies followed in debates and their full awareness of its detail .

 

Big Qatari projects

The team who supported the idea of  selecting Doha as the capital of Arab culture has stressed its right in selecting , based on its cultural balance and major accomplishments achieved in this section, and major projects launched by Qatar as the museum of Islamic art, the cultural neighborhood ,  Souq Waqif, Heritage Village, and Pearl Island.

The team also highlighted the great success of events organized on this occasion Koobri wisdom framework, and Pearl Gallery, and the Qatar Marine Festival, cultural and weeks that have been organized in Arabic.

The opposing team showed its agreement with the eligibility of Qatar to be the capital of Arab culture, but expressed reservations about the length of time it takes for events along a whole year, and the members of the opposition group assured that the full year would be too costly for a large number of Arab countries, especially poor ones, and the events of full one year will decrease the enthusiasm of the beginning, and the team said that three months is sufficient to display its culture for every Arab country and give way to others .

 

Evoking the cultural heritage

The opposition team also relied on climate considerations, pointing out that the climate and geographical diversity helps to establish a variety of cultural events throughout the Arab world, and do not restrict them throughout the year in one country . The members of this team pointed out that sticking to the annual habit of the activity will deprive Arab countries for highlighting its culture for 23 years , which will prevent them from highlighting the cultural development and its scientific renaissance step by step .

Pro team responded to the arguments relied upon by the opponent by stressing that Qatar was keen through the activities of the Doha Capital of Arab Culture for the year 2010 on diversity and evoke all the Arab cultural heritage, which is manifested in the opening through the operetta (House of Wisdom), and through the Arab cultural weeks Over the cultural week, including Syrian, Moroccan cultural week, and the days of the Palestinian, Egyptian cultural week. The members of the pro team stressed that such successes make Doha the eternal capital of Arab culture, and not only for one year.

 

Creativity of the Arab Woman

Activities of the Third Cultural Season of Abdullah Abdul Ghani center has concluded by an exquisite literary session with Dr. Naim Oudee from the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, through poetry readings in «literature of Arab women in pre-Islamic era and the beginning of Islam», toured the minds and imaginations of audience in the creativity of Arab women in poetry and prose in all its types and purposes.
